1. PARTICIPATION DUTIES
Registration to the activity implies presence and active participation on the program. By registering to the event the attendant agrees to sign in during the whole duration of the program. In case of no-shows, the attendant will not receive a certificate of attendance neither continuing medical education accreditation, if applicable.
To cancel the registration the attendant must send an e-mail to: email@example.com. If cancellation is received more than 7 working days before the date of the activity, 100% of the registration fees will be reimbursed. If it is received in the week prior to the event, 50% of the registration fees will be reimbursed.
In the case of not being previously notified of the cancellation a penalty will be imposed to the ticket holder preventing him/ her from attending any future workshop organised FLS-Science in the subsequent three years.
2. DATA PROTECTION
FLS-Science reserves the right to take photographs and video recordings of its events and activities. By accepting this legal disclaimer in registering for these activities, participants are expressly providing prior authorization and consent to FLS-Science to use the images in accordance with the right to one’s own image, as established in Article 18 of the Spanish Constitution, and the right to honor, personal and family privacy and one’s own image, as established in Organic Law 1/1982, of 5 May.
Under the provisions of Article 5 of Organic Law 15/1999, of December 13, on the Protection of Personal Data (hereinafter LOPD) and Article 13 of the European Data Protection Regulation, we inform you that:

The data you provide us through the forms that you will find on the website, along with the data you send to our email address, will be incorporated as you send it to us into a file named BDGAFLS, registered in the Private File Registry of the Spanish Data Protection Agency, and will be used to manage the provision of the services you have requested and also to manage the sending of information related to our activities by email or postal mail.
The recipients of this data are the centre’s staff, along with other people and entities that collaborate in order to comply with obligations. Whenever there is a legal obligation, your data may also be transferred to the public administration, within the scope of its powers.
You must provide us with all the information we request and this information must correctly represent your current situation. If you refuse to provide it, we will not be able to correctly serve you.
You have the right to exercise your right to access your personal data, rectify or erase it, as well as to restrict its processing, oppose to the proposed processing, and expressly consent to making your data portable. The competent body for dealing with disputes arising from the signing of this document is the Data Protection Authority, located in Madrid (28001), c/ Jorge Juan, number 6.
2.1.2. – USER CONSENT
The user is said to have accepted the established conditions if they have pressed the “ACCEPT” button that can be found in all data collection forms, or if they have sent an email to the contact addresses that appear on the website.

The personal data collected from our users is stored in the database described above, which guarantees the implementation of the appropriate technical and structural measures in order to protect the integrity and security of the personal information provided, and that also has a security document that complies with Royal Decree 1720/2007, of December 21, which approves the Regulation for the development of Organic Law 15/1999, of December 13, on the protection of personal data (BOE No. 17, of 19/1/2008), and we have established all technical means at our disposal to prevent the loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorised access and theft of the data you provide us with, while also informing the user that security measures on the Internet are not impregnable.
The processing of personal data is adjusted to the regulations established in Organic Law 15/1999, of December 13, on the Protection of Personal Data (BOE 14/12/1999).

FLS-Science, Fight AIDS Foundation informs you that when a user browses a website, their IP address that has been assigned by their internet provider is stored. This address is used exclusively for internal purposes, such as for statistics related to access to the Portal.

2.2. – MODIFICATIONS OF THESE TERMS AND VALIDITY
FLS-Science Fight AIDS Foundation can modify these terms at any time, without prior notice, by publishing the modifications as they appear here. Once modified, these terms will no longer be valid and will be replaced by their modification.
2.3. – APPLICABLE LEGISLATION AND JURISDICTION
The relationship between FLS-Science, Fight AIDS Foundation and the user will be governed by current Spanish legislation and any controversy will be submitted to the Courts and Tribunals of the city of Badalona.
3. LIABILITY AND INSURANCE
By registering for the activities, attending individuals agree that the organisers do not accept any type of responsibilities for medical, travel and personal insurance. Participants are therefore advised to issue their own personal insurance policies to cover any incidents.
The organisation disclaims all liability for injuries or any type of losses incurred by individuals attending this workshop, as well as, any charges associated with last minute cancellations due to unexpected circumstances.
The attendants will participate in the events with full intent to respect the facilities in use and are liable for any damages to the facilities for which they are personally responsible.
FLS-Science activities aim to provide participants with the opportunity to openly discuss their current work and discoveries in an educational environment. The organizers do not accept any liability for any scientific content of the sessions or for any claims that result from publications with information shared in the activities.
Presentations and event documentation are protected by copyright law. Rights to their use may only be transferred through express written consent by the author. Participants are not permitted to copy license materials distributed for informational, educational or training purposes.
5. MODIFICATION OF THE PROGRAM
The organizers reserve the right to modify the program, which is published as an indication only. Although speakers and topics are confirmed at the time of publishing the event program, circumstances beyond the control of the organizers may demand substitutions, alterations or cancellations. As such, FLS-Science reserves the right to change or adjust the advertised program if necessary without any liability. Any modifications will be updated on the website and communicated to the registered attendants as soon as possible.
In the event that the activity cannot be held or is postponed due to events beyond the control of its organizers (force majeure) or due to events not attributable to wrongful intent or gross negligence of the organizers, said organizers cannot be held liable for any damages, costs or losses incurred, such as transportation, accommodation or other financial losses. Under these circumstances, the organizers reserve the right to either retain the registration fee and to use it for a future event, or to reimburse the attendant after deducting costs already incurred for the organization of the conference and which could not be recovered from third parties.
6. APPLICABLE LAW
Any conflicts or disputes that may arise in the interpretation of the terms and conditions of this legal disclaimer, or any issues associated with the services provided by FLS-Science, shall fall under the jurisdiction of Spanish Law.
